*nod* I had an orderly, or something like that, with a similar situation when I was hospitalized for my gall bladder. He was Iranian, and like you say -- educated and credentialed as a doctor in his home country, but can't get licensed here in the States. So instead he's changing bedpans and giving sponge baths. Sad.
